The Iron Lady (2011)
Drama | Biography
This flick is not just a biography of a person we know
little about. It carries one of the most remarkable acting by a lead actress
and ground breaking work of makeup I have seeing. If I say that Meryl Streep
just makes a miracle I’m not boasting. She is breathtakingly amazing in her
performance with every move; every word and every gesture coming out of her belongs
to another person. It’s no secret that she is one the greatest of actresses in
our time but this just put her in a whole different standard and I doubt if
someone else can actually reach it. Apart from her the other brilliance of Iron
Lady is the makeup. It’s really hard to believe until you see it. It’s not like
making a demon out of an actor but this is extremely creative and precise in a
totally natural way. This movie is great. It swings across timelines and brings
us the depths of a character of a woman who we saw while growing up. And it’s a
keeper.

Synopsis: An elderly Margaret Thatcher talks to the
imagined presence of her recently deceased husband as she struggles to come to
terms with his death while scenes from her past life, from girlhood to British
prime minister, intervene.
