Chronicle (2012)
People with superpowers are not rare on screen nowadays.
Earlier flicks like Super 8 and I’m Number Four was very good at making realistic
super heroes. And the latest addition to such dramatic and natural superhero flicks
is Chronicle. It has a wonderful flow to
it that the viewer will not expect what’s coming next as the story unfolds. It
starts as a story surrounding an innocent and overrun teenager and his
obsession with his newly bought yet old video camera quickly develops in to
unknown territory of super powers. And when the climax hits the screen it feels
like it’s the mother of all superhero actions sequences. Not so glorious but
truly felt by the heart and mind. You will not regret seeing this.
3.5/5
Synopsis:
Three high school friends gain superpowers after making an incredible
discovery. Soon, though, they find their lives spinning out of control and
their bond tested as they embrace their darker sides.
