In to the Abyss (2011)
Documentary | Crime
You might think you know crime scenes, death rows, victims
and killers just because you watched CSI or a couple of movies. But you will
not know anything until you watch this. This is real crimes, victims and murderers
in real prisons and real lives, blood and tears of them. This documentary made
me think thrice about the world we live in and the laws that we practice. This
is so good for many reasons. It’s not bios towards the victims or neither bad people.
It just takes you in to a tight place where you will be questioned about your
beliefs, your emotions and your conclusions. But till you finish watching it or
maybe even after that you will not clearly know what you should believe from here
on. A very strong piece of documentary, which just rips your mind off your
traditional thinking and smashes your head against it. You will feel the pain
and the anger. But you will dare to be that person who kills another man just
because he killed another man.
4.5/5
Synopsis: Conversations with death row inmate Michael Perry
and those affected by his crime serve as an examination of why people - and the
state - kill.
