Other than being a movie that belong to a golden classic
era of the history this one has many wonderful offerings. Amongst them the
fluent yet balanced flow of the story keeps you ever wondering of the next
event that unfolds. Being a thriller and a mystery in genre it provides a sheer
definition of what that category can offer. Rather than being overly dramatic or suspenseful
Chinatown deliver the same amount or more suspense and curiosity a view can expect. Along with
the plot the charming and charismatic performances by the main leads Jack
Nicholson and Faye Dunaway just grabs the heart and minds of the audience. Both
of them have their own way of expressing feelings and being simply unique on
screen. There is no way that no one could not love them.
What’s so interesting and enjoyable of this whole movie is
that it doesn’t let you dwell on anything, anyone or any mystery for too long.
It has a way of explaining themselves and then move on to the next chapter
which is more complicated than the one before. And the performances and
circumstances seems very natural and being less complicated in cinematographic
aspects makes the viewer to engulf in its own beauty as if it’s actually taking
place then and there. Maybe this is one of the reasons classics become so
different and touching than many movies we see these days. They are natural and
our minds absorb them better.

දක්වාම ජානාදරයට සහ පැසසුමට ලක් වන රහස් පරීක්ෂක කතා හුරුවක් රැගත් චිත්රපටියක්
Chinatown. එහි Jack Nicholson සහ Faye Dunaway සුන්දර සහ ප්රබල රංගනයන්හි
යෙදෙනවා. එය විශේෂ වන්නේ එය එලි දැක්වුණු රන්වන් සිනමා කාල වකවානුව නිසාම නොවේ. චිත්රපටියක්
සහ කතාවක් වශයෙන් එය සවිස්තර එමෙන්ම ප්රේක්ෂක මන බැඳ ගැනීමට සමත්. මොහොතින් මොහොත
දිග හැරෙන කතාවේ ලාලිත්යය නිසාම මින් ඉදිරියට සිදු වන්නේ කුමක්ද යන්න ගැන දැඩි
කුතුහලයක් ප්රේක්ෂක මනස තුල ඇති වෙනවා. අධි නාට්යමය හුරුවකින් තොරව රහස් පරීක්ෂක
සහ ත්රාසය දනවන කතා පුවතක වෙත නිතැතින්ම අවධානය දෙමිනුය් එහි කතාන්තරය ගලා යන්නේ.
Chinatown සාර්ථක වන්නේ රංගන
ශිල්පීන්ගේ තාත්වික සහ සාරවත් රංගන කුසලතාවයන්ගේ සහ එකල චිත්රපටිවල සැඟවුණු
නිර්මල කම නිසාමය්. බොහෝවිට කෘතීම ස්වරුපයක් ගන්න නුතන සිනමාවට 70 දශකය සහ ඉන් එපිට
චිත්රපටි විසින් එල්ල කරන්නේ සැබෑ අභියෝගයක්.

Diane Arbus is not an unfamiliar name for the
photography at heart. She is considered to be one of the controversial and
prominent photographers in the history. And her vision and work was rejected
and blamed by many in her days but later on praised and inspired largely.
However it is a question if this movie actually discusses the true identity or
her visionary perception of the world. Maybe for someone who doesn't expect or
know the photography of Diane may enjoy it for what it is. But for me it didn't deliver what I wanted to see. But as a movie with a deep exploration of a
woman’s mind who some might call extraordinary it is somewhat there. And the
cinematography is quite powerful. What’s more commendable is the charming
acting by Nicole Kidman.

ජීවිතයේ මැදි භාගය තේමා කොට ගනිමින් ලියවුනු කතාවක් මේ චිත්රපටියේ අඩන්ගුය්. ඇය
ලෝක ඉතිහාසයේ ජීවත් වුනු වඩාත්ම ආන්දෝලනයට ලක් වුනු චායාරුප බොහොමයකට හිමිකම් කියන
චරිතයක්. චිත්රපටිය ගලා යන්නේ ඇය චායාරුපශිල්පය ප්රවිෂ්ට වීම සහ ඇයගේ සමාජයෙන්
කොන් කල ජන කොටස් වෙත ඇති වන දැඩි කැමැත්ත මුලික කර ගනිමිනුය්. චිත්රපටියක් සහ
එහි කතාවක් වශයෙන් මෙය ප්රබල වුනත් සැබෑ ලෙස ප්රේක්ෂකයා අපේක්ෂා කරන ඩියාන් මේ
චිත්රපටිය තුල ජීවත් නොවෙයය් මට සිතේ. එම නිසාම පුද්ගලිකව මෙය අස්සර්තක සිනමා
කෘතියක් බව හැඟෙ. කෙසේ වෙතත් නිකොල් කිඩ්මන්ගේ ප්රබල රංගන කුසලතාවයත් චිතපට කලාවේ
භාවිතයත් ඇති මෙහි සැබෑ කුසලතාවයන් ගැබ්වී ඇත.

I like to keep my reviews short as possible.
The world is a busy place and you may not have the time to read a ton of
details. But honestly when I write short on this movie I will be doing the
greatest injustice to it. So as the Buddha says don’t take my word for it. See
for yourself.
This is a mind soothing piece of cinema which
heavily based upon eastern Buddhism. For some it may not be applicable as a
religion or a philosophy but as humans this will apply to everyone none the
less. It is the story of maturing creatively expressed through the journey of a
monk who lives in a small shrine in the mid of a lake. The story evolve through
seasons and each season has something very different yet thoroughly deep to
offer. The viewer has the sole freedom to determine and justify or reject the
events this has. The movie will not push you to any corner or try to justify
anything. It just gives you an opinion and that may not always be agreeable by
the viewer. But largely what this cinematic masterpiece has to offer is far
ahead of just being spiritual. And the sheer beautify and inner piece is not
just created by the story but by mesmerizing cinematography and beauty of
nature.
I myself
may not have understood it to its fullest and will be pondering for many days
to come. And with each moment I will realize something new and that much closer
to the life story this movie unfolds.
ලොව බොහෝ කාර්යබහුල තැනක් නිසාවෙන් මම මගේ චිත්රපටි
විචාර ඉතාම සරල සහ කෙටි ඉදිරිපත් කිරීම් ලෙස දැක්වීමට කැමැත්තෙමි. නමුත් මේ චිත්රපටියට
මා කරන ලොකුම අසාධාරණය එයම වන්නේය. මෙහි ගැඹුර වචන කිහිපයකින් කීම කිසි සෙත්
නුසුදුසු බව හැඟෙ. එනිසාම බුදුරදුන් වදාළ සේම මාගේ වචනය මා කියූ පමණින් පිලි නොගෙන
ඔබම සිතින් සිතා පිළිගන්න. එසේ කිරීමට ඔබ මේ චිත්රපටිය බැලිය යුතුම වන්නේය.
මෙය මනස සනසන බුදු දහම සහ ගැඹුරින් බැඳුනු සිනමා
කෘතියකි. බොහෝ දෙනෙකුට ආගමක් හෝ දර්ශනයක් වශයෙන් මෙය නොදැනුනද ජීවිතය හා බැඳී
යතාර්ථයක් ලෙසින් එය සියල්ලන්ටම පොදුය. ජීවිතයේ පරිනතවිම ඉතාමත්ම නිර්මාණශීලි
අයුරින් මෙහි කතිකා කෙරෙන්නේ විලක් මැද පිහිටි පාවෙන පන්සලක වැඩ වසන පැවිද්දෙකුගේ
ජීවිතය ඇසුරෙන්. එය ගලාගෙන යන්නේ පරිච්චේද පහකින් යුතුවය්. ඒවා එකිනෙක බොහෝ වෙනස්
කම් දරන අතර ඇතුලතින් ඉතා ගැඹුරු මෙන්ම සමානද වෙයි. චිත්රපටිය ඔබට කිසිම දෙයක්
ගැන මත විවරණයක් බලෙන් ලබා නොදෙන අතර එය තේරුම් ගැනීම සහ තීරණය කිරීම ඔබටම භාර
වන්නේය. මෙහි කතා වස්තුව හුදෙක් ආගමික කතාවකට සීමා නොවූ විශිෂ්ට එකක් බව කිව
යුතුමය. එහි ලස්සන තව තවත් වැඩි වන්නේ පරිසරයේ ඇති අලංකාර එයට එක කොට ඇති අයුරිනි.
මා මේ චිත්රපටිය මුළුමුනින්ම තේරුම් ගත්තෙයය් කීමට
හැකියාවක් මට නැත. නමුත් බොහෝ කලක් මා මේ අගනා සිනමා කෘතිය ගැන මෙනෙහි කරන බව මා
දනී. ඒ සියලු මොහොතකදීම මා විසින් අලුත් යමක් ජීවිතය ගැන සොයා ගනු ඇත.

This is another warm Japanese anime which is
equally beautiful in presentation and its story. In presentation it is a mix of
breathtaking drawings that are so detailed and joy to look at. Every frame is so
well planned you cannot honestly fathom the magnitude of the beautiful minds
working to bring them to life. The era of Japan in 60s where the story takes
place and the culture and lifestyle is so well portrayed.
As a story it speaks of a blooming love between
two students living in a harbor village cleverly approached using a threatened
club house which is about to be demolished. Without realizing their love starts to grow
just as they start to work together to save the club house and the results
become promising. And a heartfelt background plot takes place evolving in to
both of their family’s pasts. This wonderful mix of enchanting animation and
story a movie like this cannot get better.

This is a British comedy movie based on a small
gang of suicide terrorists who operates in UK and their great plan of blowing
themselves up at a marathon. Honestly this is like the best comedy that
actually mocks the whole Islamic terrorist movements anywhere. Though it is
funny and shockingly explosive at times it truly speaks of a very deep reality
of terrorism. For a moment you might actually ponder between reality and comedy
and it strikes a good balance somewhere. And the plot rapidly changes and comes
to a good peak providing unexpected events to roll out. And there is a whole
interesting character compilation. Good comedy!

අර්ථ දැක්වෙනවා. විටෙක තරමක් බැරෑරුම්
ගතියක් කියා පැවද මෙය බොහෝ සැහැල්ලු මනසකින් යුතුව රස විඳිය හැකි එකකි. එමෙන්ම ලොව
වටා තිබෙන ඉස්ලාමිය ත්රස්තවාදය මෙතරම් හෑල්ලූවට සහ හාස්යට ලක් කල චිත්රපටියක්
මෙතෙක් මා දැක නැහැ.

What can I say? I’m not disappointed of this
movie but I’m not happy either. But from putting it in the perspective of the
Jason Bourne trilogy which is one of the most entertaining action thrillers
made in the history of cinema this is a letdown.
The main issue with the movie is that it doesn't go much further from its predecessors. Matter of fact it’s the same
plot and same action with different cast. It sure is catchy, gripping and
action packed but we need something extra now after all the years of the former
Bourne franchise. Can’t really blame the cast on its failure as they do a
pretty decent job. Maybe the issue is with the bit too long plot and that
action sequences being too far stretched between dramas in the middle. No harm
done I love drama and character development but here feels like it’s a drag.
And secondly the charm of Bourne is far ahead than Aaron Cross. But I believe
he might live up to the name of the show in the coming movies. And yes it doesn't stop from here and there is many more to come from where it did.
The good is that the little but most awaited
action sequences are lavishly executed. And when it starts to run there is no
stopping. Out of which the best is the final sequence but this time there is a
lack of epic hand to hand combat sequences. And it’s replaced by pursuits.

නොහැකි උනත් ඉතා නරකය් කියා කීමටද හැකියාවක් නැහැ මේ චිත්රපටිය පිලිබඳ. නමුත් මෑත
සිනමා ඉතිහාසයේ බිහිවී ජේසන් බෝන් චිත්රපටි මාලාව හා සංසන්දනය කිරීමේදී නම් මෙහි
අඩු පාඩු බොහොමයක් දැනේ.
මුලික අඩුව වන්නේ තරමක් අනවශ්යය
පරිදි දිග්ගැස්සෙන කතාවයි. මෙය ක්රියාදාම චිත්රපටියක් බැවින් ක්රියාදාම හරි
හැටි කාලය හා ස්ථානගත කර නොමැති බවක් දැනේ. සැම විටකම උද්වේකර ක්රියාදාමයක්
එළඹෙන්නේ තරමක් දිගු විරාමයක් සහිතවය්. ඒ නිසා කතාව ඇල් මැරෙන ස්වභාවයක් දැනේ.
එමෙන්ම මුල් චිත්රපටි වල සිටි බෝන් චරිතය මෙන් ආකර්ශනීය බවක් ආරොන්ගේ චරිතය තුල
තවමත් නොවේ. මෙය මෙහි ඉදිරි වෙළුම් වලදී මග හැරී යනු ඇති බවය් මා සිතන්නේ.
ඒ කෙසේ වෙතත් ක්රියාදාම
නම් ඉස්තරම් මට්ටමින් නිමකර තිබීම විශේෂය. එය බෝන් චිත්රපටි සියල්ලටම ආවේනික දෙයක්.
