THIS IS IT (2009)

This is it (2009)

Director:Kenny Ortega
Stars:Michael Jackson, Alex Al and Alexandra Apjarova

My rating 4.5/5

Most of the time when I think of Michael Jackson, more than the man or the music I think about me. MJ like many other things a part of life, growing up, learning things and most of all experience.

I can remember the days I used to put on the good old head phones and listen to the 2 channel dull, bass poor record quality music over a cheap Walkman. And when life improved the quality of the music I listen improved as well. It went from Walkman to a set up and then 2 channels to 6 channels and more. Tape to digital and i-pod to i-touch and online streaming. Whichever the method or the equipment the music was listened, stored or viewed one thing was certain. Michael Jacksons music was there. He was so amazing and inspirational that there was no way that I would missed his music changing from platform to platform or bouncing through hardships of life. MJ was that brilliant. He was ‘Off the wall’

But one day everything known about the man has become “History”. Creating an immense void everything went blank. A “bad” news which came earlier than expected.

From his death onwards he was un doubly became more famous than fading away.

“This is it” is not a movie. Or it’s not just a backstage footage of the greatest musical show to be staged on the planet. It is 111 minutes of pure sensational music and character beyond legend. I do not like people calling him a legend. Not because of anything else but because legends are not unique. There are many. But when it comes to MJ there was one. One king, One man, One entertainer that world has seeing only once. So he was more than a legend and ultimately proven that more than a human by his character.

If you love the man you will love ”This is it”. It’s a pure musical journey towards the final hardships MJ went through trying to bring the show to light. Immense team effort and personal dedication by the leading MJ ”This is it” should have being a once in a life time experience for any one. But the world was unfortunate to see it in its full glory. Just as the start the show came to an end unexpectedly.
But I'm glad that I was fortunate to see MJ performing even in rehearsals and how glorious he was in his own way. A must watch for all MJ fans. You will be blown away by his politeness and attitude.

Michael… Thank you for the music, Thank you for the joy you bought.
