When south London gets attacked
by Aliens, a set of teenage gang weapon up to defend their block and save the
planet. Sounds a bit too ordinary for an age where lots of movies hit the
screen with the alien theme right?
But ‘Attack the Block’ is
somewhat a totally new experience. The critical reason is that the story
telling does not involve skilled military personnel, scientists or the
government and a heroic star actor. Yes there is an alien invasion and they are
nasty. But the whole thing is plain viewed from the perspective of a gang led
by a 15 year old kid named Moses.
Small budget yet creatively
crafted its being a nice watch. The plot is quite nice and the whole of it
takes place within a span of few hours. Sometimes funny and sometimes scary and
gory ‘Attack the Block’ will keep you guessing of what’s next.
